        Lerici

General view of the Gulf of Poets from Lerici
Lerici seen from 'Marigola' golf field A small seaside town, founded by Pisans around 1200, Lerici today is a tourist resort also known for its natural beauty and its central location.

From here one can reach by boat the Cinque Terre, Portovenere, the bathing stations of the Versilia, and all the other picturesque locations along this stretch of coast.

From the Mediaeval Castle, that dominates the port of Lerici, you have a magnificent view of all of the Gulf of Poets and of the nearby Apuan Alps.
